We borrowed this idea from Room 7 yesterday afternoon. First we sticky tacked a horse shoe stencil to a piece of construction paper and traced it with brown marker. Next the children decorated with orange, gray, brown and white crayons following with a coat of brown watercolor paint. When they were nice and dry we cut around the outline. I'm not sure the finished product looks exactly like a horse shoe but the results are very artistic.
